Financial Aid

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

FSEOG is a federal grant for students with exceptional need. It was created to supplement other sources of aid for students that demonstrate financial need.

At Butte College, FSEOG awards are $720 per academic year. To be considered for an FSEOG, you must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), be Pell-eligible (0 SAI students will take priority), and enroll in a minimum of 6 units per semester. FSEOG funds provided to Butte College are limited and awarded on a "first-come, first-served basis." For students who complete their courses, the FSEOG does not need to be repaid.

See Student Alert about Repayment for information about repaying funds if you leave school.
